Finance and debt advice
The Personal Finance and Debt Advice Project is funded by the Liverpool JET Service and provides our clients with free impartial advice and guidance, provided by fully trained Citizen Advice Bureau staff, regarding finance & debt advice.
Clients receive a 'Better Off' calculation which allows them and their JET adviser to target employment opportunities that ensure the client will not be worse off for accepting a job.
Since April 2008, we have supported nearly 800 clients across the city to gain benefits and tax credits totalling nearly £350,000 that they may not have known they were entitled to.
Our clients have had assistance in managing debt of over £550,000. Some have had nearly £4,000 of debt written off and have over £5,000 of grants.
To take advantage of this service, clients should contact their local JET office and a suitable appointment will be made for them.
